What should a brand prepare before a video shoot?
Before a video shoot, a brand should be clear on four things: where the video will live, who it's speaking to, the one thing it has to communicate, and who has final approval. Everything else — locations, wardrobe, props, talent — gets easier once those are settled.
The most common delay isn't equipment or weather. It's a team that hasn't agreed on the message, which turns the edit into a negotiation instead of a refinement.
Practically, I'd come to a shoot with the deliverables named (vertical, widescreen, run times), any brand assets or logo files, a point of contact who can make decisions on the day, and a realistic schedule that includes setup and lighting time.
If products or spaces are involved, have them shoot-ready before the crew arrives. Clean, styled, and stocked. Camera time spent tidying is camera time not spent filming.
